Office of Dy. Apprenticeship Advisor was established in 1962 at the campus of ITI Arab Ki Sarai, Nizamuddin , Delhi with the aim to trained Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in industries/organizations in Delhi. In 2003, this office has been shifted at BTC Campus Pusa. 

There are two categories of trades defined under the Apprenticeship act 1961.

  1. Designated Trades: Those notified by the Government are referred to as” Designated Trades. List is available on www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
  2. Optional Trades: Those trades run under the apprenticeship act by an establishment are referred to as Optional trades. List is available on
    www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in


Exemption were given to ITI passed candidates. The criteria of Education Qualification/ Exemption for engagement under Apprenticeship training scheme details are given on portal.
